About me
Success, at a certain level, is no longer about effort. It’s about how you think, decide, and act at the right moment.

I work with thoughtful professionals who are used to figuring things out on their own, until they reach a point where pushing harder is no longer the solution.
That’s where perspective becomes more valuable than effort.
People and teams who:
I support them in stepping back, seeing clearly, and moving forward with intention and trust.
My path to coaching started in the dojo.
At 15, I was stepping onto my first world podium in Lons-le-Saunier, France. That’s me and my coach at the time in the photograph.
Years of performance sport taught me discipline, control, adaptability, and what good leadership looks like under pressure. It taught me that there is often a gap between what we intend to do and what we are actually able to do when it counts.
Software engineering gave me a different lens: structured thinking, systems, complexity, and the ability to hold a large problem in view without losing sight of what matters. Working in engineering teams, I became increasingly interested in what happens beyond the technical problem: how people work together, how teams respond under pressure, and why some environments help people perform while others get in their way. In Agile teams, I first found a framework for some of those answers, and it eventually led me deeper into coaching.
Working independently as a contractor added another perspective: balancing delivery, client relationships, commercial realities, and decisions made without complete information.
Coaching is how I make what these worlds have taught me available to people beyond the rooms I’ve already been in: the performance lessons of sport, the systems thinking of engineering, the collaborative realities of teams, the ownership demanded by contracting, and a human-centred approach to change.

Structured thinking, systems, and complexity. Learning to hold a large problem in view without losing the thread of what matters.
Though very different in practice, both are grounded in a similar Japanese philosophy: refinement over ego, consistency over intensity, and the wisdom to know when to act and when to pause.
What I’ve learned is this.
Sustainable performance is not just physical or technical. It’s deeply mental.
You want me in your team if you
This is probably not for you if

More about me

When I’m not working, movement is one of the ways I come back to myself. You’ll often find me training in karate, or in the swimming pool, a more recent practice that has become a kind of moving meditation.
Away from the mat and the water, my husband and I are often planning the next adventure, drawn by art, culture, and history. We’ve explored more than 20 countries so far, with plenty more still on the list. This is Kongobu-ji Temple, in Japan.
People tell me I can be funny sometimes. I talk to animals as though they fully understand life’s more complicated questions. They get the long version. To be fair, they are excellent listeners. 😊
Whether you’re navigating a decision, transition, or way of working that no longer fits, we can begin there.
